Culture Index FAQ

Any organization with at least 10 employees in Canada is eligible for certification.

Certification is designed to provide a clear path to improving and optimizing workplace culture with actionable insights and impactful reports. Our certification is the only one in Canada that offers organizations the opportunity to assess workplace culture against the real opinions of Canadians. We are different from other programs as our objective is to enable, recognize, and amplify exceptional workplace culture rather than just providing a badge or symbol we represent more. Canadian Workplace Culture Certification is a commitment to putting people first and communicates this to investors, partners, customers, existing and prospective employees.

We also know how valuable time is for our certification partners and have developed our service with that in mind. The entire program takes less than an hour to administrate and 5 minutes for each respondent to complete the conversational chat survey.

Being a part of the Index helps organizations share and engage with like-minded companies, build new connections and networks, and increase their positive impact in their communities.

  • Achieve a minimum response rate of 60% from employees based in Canada.

  • An Executive Summary Report – a report on your workplace culture scores overall and across six workplace attribute scores against our national average and your industry’s average.

  • Qualitative Response Report – anonymized text-based responses to open ended questions about how your employees would describe your workplace culture to others and their perspectives on what’s great and what can be improved.

  • Actionable Insights Report – strategic recommendations to improve workplace culture across each of the six different workplace attributes based on your organization’s workplace culture scores in those areas.

Pricing is in Canadian dollars, does not include taxes*, and is based on the number of employees in your organization and pricing works like this:

  • 10 – 30 employees = $1495
  • 31 – 100 employees = $2495
  • 101 – 300 employees = $2995
  • 301 – 500 employees = $3495
  • 501 – 1000 employees = $4495
  • 1001 – 5000 employees = $6995
  • 10000+ employees = Contact Us

No, our ongoing intake schedule provides regular opportunities to begin the certification process.

Once registration and payment are complete, you will receive a welcome package and everything needed to begin by sharing the conversational chat with your participating employees. 

Once you are ready (we’ll communicate with your team directly) and at least 60% of your Canadian employees have completed the survey we will analyze the results and send you your results and reports within a few hours or as long as 3-5 business days.

The entire process can take as little as a few hours, mostly to process your results. 

The main factor in how long the process will take is how long your respondents take to complete their responses.

Most participants complete the survey in 5 minutes. 

There are a few open-ended questions and if your respondents decide to write a long response these questions may extend the time to completion.

All full-time and part-time employees, including interns and co-ops. Some organizations include their global employees for greater insight.

It is useful to include responses from everyone including owners and executives. Contract employees are optional.

Yes, you can include employees from outside Canada in the survey. 

A minimum of 10 employees in Canada are required to be considered for Canadian Workplace Culture Certification.

No, your data is confidential.

Anonymized survey responses may be used to create our aggregated annual report and provide inputs for dynamic benchmarking. 

Employee responses do not include personally identifiable information. 

Additional opportunities to have your organization profiled as a Canadian Workplace Culture Leader may be presented to your team and require your approvals.

We will have your results ready as soon as possible. Usually, this can happen in a few business hours.

At most, we will contact you within 3-5 business days of the completion of the survey with your results.

Don’t worry, you’ve taken the first step to understand and improve your workplace culture, this is great news!

Based on the data collection and analysis, if your organization doesn’t pass certification, we will provide you all the useful reports and insights that all participating organizations receive including strategic recommendations and next steps to attain certification.

We also provide those who may not achieve certification with a special offer to have your organization’s workplace culture certified.

If you are not able to reach the participation rate requirement, your organization will not be eligible for Certification or to be listed in the Canadian Workplace Culture Index. You will still receive your reports and insights for strategic next steps.

We will follow up after a few months with an offer to attempt certification again.
